About Me
My name is Danielle Stacey, although I have gone by Dani since I can remember, my government name is pretty important to share as it starts conversation about me! I’m a Junior here at Old Dominion University, also a recent transfer. So far my experience as a college student has come with it’s highs and lows and I’m grateful for this journey. It has taught me discipline, patience and pride in myself to gain the knowledge and tools for my future in Child Education and Mental Health. My hobbies include painting, shopping, swimming and cooking among many others. My latest obsession is American Horror Story and Stephen King novels these entertainment outlets are a good way for my mind to unwind from my busy schedule. My family, which includes my fiance, daughter, myself and our two felines, have recently moved a little further out of the Roanoke Valley to Smith Mountain Lake. I absolutely love it here in the country its allows me to swim everyday in the warmer seasons and feel like a writer hidden away in my secret cabin in the woods during the colder seasons. My educational goals are to become a consular for adolescences. Being able to lend an ear to a child in need and/or guiding each child towards their future paths, is a fairy tale of mine. Having the ability to guide young adults towards there futures, while allowing them to express themselves is truly an magical experience. My Major is a Bachelors in Psychology, my goal is to gain an Masters degree at the end of my educational experience. I choose to take Psychology 420, in hopes this course will give me much knowledge into a another realm of Child Psychology. The more knowledge and understanding I have for my passion of educating and mentoring children is beneficial for my career in understanding childhood behavior, their mental processes and overall well-being is ideal for my career endeavors. I look forward to Summer 19′ semester… I hope all my peers have a good semester as well!
