Prompt: Andriy Slynchuk has described eleven things Internet users do that may be illegal. Review what the author says and write a paragraph describing the five most serious violations and why you think those offenses are serious.

I think the five most serious violations of this list are: sharing passwords or photos of others, bullying and trolling, faking your identity online, collecting information about children, and illegal Internet searches. Sharing passwords, photos, and other personal information online is very serious because this information could be used by bad actors to identify someone without their knowledge and possibly harm them. Bullying and trolling is also very serious because it can lead to the victim having serious mental issues that can affect them for years. Faking one’s identity is extremely harmful to those whose identity is stolen because this can negatively affect their finances and cause harm to their reputation online. Collecting information about children is serious because there are several laws governing what information about children is allowed online. Additionally, children are extremely vulnerable, so collecting any information about them is harmful. Finally, illegal internet searches are very serious because learning that type of information could allow malicious actors to carry out very harmful activities including bombings and murder.
