This test asked us two questions and they each helped us understand the fluid dynamics in pipes and fittings; and also how to apply Bernoulli’s equation and mass to fluid flow systems, it also helped me learn how to compute friction losses in pipes for a variety of configurations (series, parallel, etc.) In this test i was able to highly improve my writing rubric and i feel that this gave me a very big push on my grade because it went up more than 20%, however in the first problem i was not able to use the right equations because i was supposed to add the energy losses to both A and B, i also did not solve the equations using iteration. I should have handled this question better regarding the equations and i should have definitely paid more attention to the equations i am using. Question 2 i was able to do it very good and get the full grade for it.

I have learned how to use bernoulli’s equation in order to solve problems and i also learned how to calculate friction loss, i think engineers use these concepts in everyday concepts and theories that they might come up with and i feel that it is very relevant to industries like the oil industry or piping industries and so forth. I will not be using this due to it not relating to my field of work or career. What i learned is very important however it is not highly important to my career and the field i want to be in. I might use this in the future when dealing with cars or pipes, also i feel like was successful in using bernoulli’s equation as well as being able to solve for several different values. I feel like this would intersect with my career or field when i am dealing with several different contractors or corporations and this is needed to be carried out or tested for.
