Windows System Management and Security

This course introduces tools and techniques used to configure, manage and implement Windows and its security-related features. Students will install, configure, manage and secure windows’ client & server operating systems, and related networking environment using a variety of software tools. This course also details how to mitigate malware threats, identify security issues by using auditing and the Advanced Threat Analysis feature in Windows Server, secure your virtualization platform, and use new deployment options for enhancing security.

The Critical Benefits of Teaching Senior Citizens About Microsoft Windows and Cybersecurity

This research paper suggests solutions for senior citizens who know little about Microsoft Windows or Cybersecurity. Implications for the issues as well as barriers for the group to learn are also noted. This was an interesting paper for me, as it gave me a new perspective on how other groups of people view cybersecurity, particularly the elderly. A lesson I learned from it was that to get cybersecurity to be something incorporated everywhere, people need to understand what it is and professionals need to be accommodating for how people take information.
