I am currently a PhD candidate in the Kinesiology and Rehabilitation program at Old Dominion University where my current focus in in biomechanics and motor control. I have completed my first year in the program and expect to finalize my dissertation in 2019. I also work as a research assistant in the Center for Brain Research and Rehabilitation where I focus on gait in peripheral neuropathy patients.

I earned my BS at West Virginia University in Sport and Exercise Psychology after beginning my study in biometric engineering. Although seemingly unrelated, I was able to take components of science that I enjoyed in the engineering field with my love of sport. I earned my MS degree at the University of Texas at Arlington in Exercise Physiology where I carried out research focused in running and walking gait.

My current research interest is in lower limb mechanics, particularly in co-morbidity of ankle mobility with ACL injury risk, as well as neural control of the effector muscles.
