Hi everyone! My name is Essence, and I’m currently a junior majoring in Cybersecurity. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, going to the gym, and fixing computers. I’ve always liked hands-on work and figuring out how to fix things.

I’ve taken online classes before, so I’m pretty familiar with the format. I like having the flexibility to work at my own pace, especially while balancing school with a full-time job. I haven’t had an internship yet, but I would like to complete one to gain more experience. At my last job, I worked as a Computer Technician, where I was able to troubleshoot, repair, and work with computers regularly.

I don’t currently have an ePortfolio, but I’m looking forward to creating one and using it to showcase my academic work, experience, and technical skills. None of my previous classes mentioned having one. 

After graduating, I plan to continue building my career in technology and cybersecurity. My long-term goal is to work as a government contractor, starting in a role such as a System Administrator or Network Engineer and eventually transitioning into Cloud Security Engineering. I want to continue gaining hands-on experience and building the skills needed to grow into more advanced roles throughout my career.
