How Cyber Technology Creates Opportunities for Workplace Deviance

Cyber technology has created more opportunities for workplace deviance because almost everything in the workplace now operates through online systems. As a result, employees have more chances to engage in inappropriate behavior without it being immediately obvious. For example, an employee might waste time on social media, use company devices for personal activities, or send private files to a personal account. It can also create other problems, such as cyberbullying or the misuse of shared accounts. Although technology has made work faster and more efficient, it has also created more opportunities for employees to cross professional boundaries in the workplace.
