Exploring Culture

I have not done much in the Spanish culture world, but I do hope that I can learn more about it in the near future when inproving my Spanish.

I have not done much for the Spanish culture community. One of the questions that I would love to know is what do you mainly do in the Spanish culture world. I love to learn about other cultures just as how I have been learning about mine. There are some issues at time with my culture. I am a Muslim and there was a time in my life where I got bullied for it. For example getting blamed for the tragic event of 9/11 and getting made fun for it too. I just decided to ignore those comments because it does not benefit me for anything. I can not wait to finally fully understand my culture and the Spanish culture.

Engaging in Communities

I have not done much in engaging with the Spanish communities. I have done some in my own culture and would love to share.

In this picture are me, my siblings, and friends. We all grew up in America and have not known much about our culture. As we got older we decided to learn more about it. It is a very beautiful culture that people should consider into just looking at it. We have gone to events, gatherings, and other countries to know about our culture. All I can say it is very beautiful and easy to learn.

Interpersonal Communication

In this assignment I interviewed one of my friends about what classes they take and other things like what they like to do for fun.

In this assignment I had to interview someone that knew how to speak Spanish. So, I chose my friend, and it went well. When interviewing her she was really good with her responses because she did not know what I was going to ask her where I was struggling a little bit, but I was able to get through it. It was a little difficult because I was just learning Spanish. I went through the LingroLearning website to get a better understanding of the pronunciation. Next time I will ask more questions about the persons life and fun activities they like to do.

Presentational Speaking

In this assignment I had to talk about where my classes were and what I took. I also talked about where I studied, eat, and sleep.

This assignment was one of my best work. The reason why is because I did a really good job pronouncing the words and showing emotions. It did not really challenge me because I knew what I was talking about. It taught me to be a better speaker in the Spanish world. I would not do anything different in this assignment.

Presentational Writing

In this assignment I had to write about my school schedule. I wrote what building my classes were and where I studied for my classes.

El lunes me despierto a las diez de la mañana. Mi primera clase comienza a las tres de la tarde y mi última clase comienza a las cuatro de la tarde. A las once de la mañana, voy a practicar baloncesto. Al mediodía desayuno con mi familia. Tengo que ir a clase a las tres de la tarde para estudiar español. Entonces mi última clase del día es a las cuatro de la tarde para estudiar análisis de negocios. Después de mis clases me voy a casa a cenar. A las ocho estoy haciendo mi tarea. a las diez de la noche me gusta leer. A las once de la noche me gusta jugar videojuegos. A medianoche tengo que ir a dormir. El martes me despierto a las diez de la mañana. Al mediodía desayuno con mi familia. Voy a mi próxima clase a la una y media de la tarde para estudiar matemáticas. Voy a mi última clase del día a las tres de la tarde para estudiar contabilidad. Después de clase me voy a casa a cenar con la familia. después de la cena tengo que hacer la tarea de español. Antes de irme a dormir juego videojuegos. A medianoche tengo que ir a dormir. El miércoles me despierto a las diez de la mañana. A los once desayunar. Después del desayuno, ayudar a mi mamá con la limpieza de la casa. Después de eso voy a clase a las tres de la tarde a estudiar español. Después de clase ceno con la familia. a las diez de la noche hago mi tarea. Antes de dormir me gusta escuchar música. A medianoche tengo que ir a dormir. El jueves me despierto a las diez de la mañana. Desayuno con mi familia. Luego voy a clase a la una y media de la tarde para estudiar matemáticas. Cuando termino con eso, voy a mi siguiente clase para estudiar contabilidad a las tres de la tarde. A las ocho de la tarde hago mi tarea de español. Luego juega videojuegos antes de acostarte. A medianoche tengo que ir a dormir. El viernes me despierto a las diez de la mañana. Entonces voy a practicar baloncesto. Después de eso ve a mi clase de las tres de la tarde para estudiar español. A las seis de la tarde, salir con amigos y ver una película. A las diez de la noche estoy haciendo la tarea. A medianoche tengo que ir a dormir. Mi día favorito de la semana es el sábado y me despierto a las ocho de la mañana y voy a pescar con mi papá. Después de desayunar con mi familia. A la una salgo a caminar. A las 3 de la tarde, salir con amigos a jugar a los bolos y jugar al póquer después. Antes de acostarme me conecto a internet para mirar criptografía. A medianoche tengo que ir a dormir. El domingo me levanto a las diez de la mañana, corto el pasto. Desayunar con mi familia. Luego voy a dar un paseo en bicicleta. Luego voy de compras con mi mama. Por la noche salgo con amigos y voy a jugar bolos. Por último, antes de acostarme hago mi tarea de español. A medianoche tengo que ir a dormir.

In this assignment, I wrote about my school schedule in Spanish. It was a bit difficult because it was my first real assignment to write in Spanish. It became easier because it sort of got repetitive and it was a little difficult but only in the beginning. I just overcame it by just taking my time and making sure it was making sense. Next time I write a paper I will be more descriptive.

It can teach you how to pronounce words, the meaning behind them, and how to spell each word. At first it is challenging when you are just starting, but eventually you will get a better understanding of it. I overcame it by going on the website almost everyday and just go through each unit. What I found it interesting that there are different ways to pronounce words, same meanings but said differently. My takeaway is that do not just look at one unit, there are other units that you will find something new to learn. I have grown on each assignments because of this website have been showing me things I did not know about.
