The outlook and knowledge of the people present in an organization, more so than its technology, are the key to maintaining a strong security posture over time, even as the organization’s threat landscape shifts. Understanding social engineering tactics that malicious actors are likely to use, how humans enable cybersecurity incidents unintentionally, and how organizational leaders and cybersecurity professionals can combat them through manifesting a strong culture of security are each crucial to mitigating some of the biggest threats businesses face to the security of their information and operations. The following artifacts relate to my own knowledge and experience with these facets of security, and the ways in which the importance of security can best be communicated to each person employed by the organization.
