Engineers make up a huge part of cyber networks being safer. The ways in which this momentous task is accomplished is through a team strategy and breaking down the whole into manageable parts which are best suited for individual strengths.

Engineering a more secure software solution vital if we are going to create a safer cyber network. This is being accomplished by means of more robust programing language that makes it harder for attackers to get into a system through software vulnerabilities. New solutions for networking are being evolved from engineers that understand how networks work. Along these lines are the creation of new ways to monitor networks, software programs and hardware.

Cyber security engineers conduct malware analysis, perform cloud security, versed in different programming languages, versed in ethical hacking, and conduct security audits. All these things combined create cyber networks that are more secure.

The cyber security engineer alongside the management team of a business can bring awareness to the company. Education is the key to providing more secure cyber networks. When an interdisciplinary approach to cybersecurity is conducted, costs are lowered, loss is mitigated, data is more secure, and people feel safer about the environment in which they work in.

It is ultimately the cyber security engineer’s responsibility to ensure cyber networks are safer, but it is everyone’s job through training and testing to assist the engineer in accomplishing this ever-changing cyber environment. Staying up on trends, continually educating yourself, becoming more self-aware, and asking questions will ultimately help make cyber networks safer.
