My name is Hans Joshua Sawi, and I’m a cybersecurity major at ODU. I currently live in Norfolk, Virginia, but I was born and raised in the country of the Philippines. I currently have no certifications, but I’m working towards completing my CompTIA Security+ this month. I have no real experience in my field, but through my college coursework, I have learned the fundamentals of cybersecurity.

One of my professional goals is to work in the field of cybersecurity, particularly as a penetration tester or ethical hacker. I like the idea of being able to attack and defend almost like a game and finding ways to navigate through a system to uncover its vulnerabilities. There are a lot of skills required for this profession, but I’m determined to learn them one step at a time.
