Thoughts about myself:
I see myself as a Dreamer.
People describe me as Well-mannered.
What sets me apart is the loyalty I bring to friendships.
Most people would say my strengths are the ability to forgive, being a great friend, and always bringing positivity.
People often comment on my ability to connect with others.
If I were to be a part of this career/graduate program, I would contribute by adding my humor and motivation to finish strong!
If someone were telling a potential client about me, they would say that I was respectful, honest, and determined.
Self-assessment:
For my self-assessment, I decided to use the “Personal Values Assessment” that Meade had listed. The top 5 personal values I received were Equality, Freedom, Respect, Compassion, and Honesty.
I was honestly pleasantly surprised to see my results. I have always had friends who questioned “why are you so nice?” I have always had a soft heart most of my life, and I want to believe that my mother gave me the trait of compassion.
She always made sure that no matter how tough her day was, she would always find time to spend with me. My mom always taught me to treat others with respect. I once had to go to court for a minor traffic violation but the judge had completely dismissed my case after the officer stated that I “was the most respectful person” he had dealt with in a long time.
I am a huge believer in equality. I never understood why some of the friend groups I was in always had a “hierarchy”. I feel that if we share laughs and pain together there are no “levels,” just love for one another. Freedom is a value I believe everyone should have and possess. Everyone should have the ability to share their emotions and speak freely about what is on their mind.
