Professional Goals

After graduating with my cybersecurity degree, my goal is to build a career protecting systems and networks from cyber threats. I want to keep learning and gaining real-world experience while working in a field that is always growing and changing. I’m especially interested in combining cybersecurity with sports since professional sports organizations rely heavily on technology and data security.

My professional goals include:

  • Starting out in an entry-level cybersecurity role, such as a security analyst or network security specialist
  • Earning certifications like Security+ and CEH to strengthen my skills and career opportunities
  • Learning more about ethical hacking and threat detection
  • Working in sports cybersecurity, helping protect team data, player information, ticketing systems, and internal networks for sports organizations
  • Eventually moving into higher-level roles like cybersecurity engineer or security consultant
  • Building a stable career where I can continue learning and adapting to new technology and threats

I want a career that challenges me, pays well, and gives me the opportunity to work in an area I’m interested in.
