The Cyber clinic:
Description- The cyber clinic is a unique opportunity that is provided through COVA CCI, and partners with Valor cybersecurity to provide cybersecurity as a service to small and medium sized businesses within Hampton roads, while collaborating with fellow peers. The main goal of this internship is to assess the selected business, cyber preparedness and risk posture. Through a variety of task such as researching the industry the business is in, and the cyber threats that are associated with the industry using tools such as the internet crime complaint center . Furthermore through communication with selected business, we look to address the businesses most critical assets, risk, and controls, to develop a SWOT analysis report for them. Which will lead me and my group to concluding the assessment by providing future recommendations and best practices for the organization to follow. This unique opportunity has allowed me to develop hands on expierence as a cybersecurity consultant. While also building up on soft skills such as communication, sales, teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability. This unique opportunity, has also given me the chance to enhance my technical and analytical skills by applying cybersecurity principles in real-world scenarios and further developing me as a cyber professional.

- Working directly with small businesses, using skills of design thinking and empathy, to
understand cybersecurity challenges in depth. - Collaborating with peers and ODU faculty, to provide cybersecurity services in network defense
tactics, security awareness training and referencing the NIST CSF framework 2.0 and CISA
CPGs - Conducting cybersecurity assessments for small businesses, identifying vulnerabilities and discussing mitigation strategies.
