This lab a nice start to the learning how to code in C and understanding the Kali Linux operating system. The concepts in this lab I learned were basic commands that were a foundation to be built upon in the future. This lab was not challenging at all. Overall, I learned that I can go into different directories which will be used later.
This lab was pretty easy and taught me how to move between directories and create new directories and files. There were no challenges than I can remember in this lab. From, this lab I was able to creates files and directories that I would need in later labs.
This lab was pretty easy. One of the most important parts of this lab was that I learned how to VI editor which would be used in later labs.I did not face any challenges in this lab. Overall, it was a great way to learn the basics of VI editor.
This lab was where thing started to become more difficult and required multiple former labs to understand this lab. I learned how to create a new user and learned the basics of creating owners and group owners.There were no challenges that I faced in this lab. This also made me realize that you can create multiple users on system using commands and change their parameters too.
This lab was pretty easy and didn’t take too long. This lab also introduced me to the importance of passwords for users in a system. I faced no challenges in this lab. Overall, it was pretty easy and prepared for me later labs.
This lab took me a long time just because of how many users there were and trying to find the right commands to do the things that were needed. In this lab I learned more about groups,users, and user permissions in this lab. This was time consuming was the only challenge for me. Overall, this lab introduced me to the idea of running multiple commands at the same time.
This lab was interesting and introduced to many concepts like storage systems, disk drives, and mounting. I did not face any challenges in this lab but most things were very new to me. Overall, this taught me about storage systems in the Kali Linux operating system.
This was my favorite lab and it taught me concepts like automation and scripting which are very interesting topics to me. This lab was only difficult because when writing commands to a computer you must speak exactly in its language or it will not understand. Overall, this lab was something that I will take and use in any C programming classes and other uses in the future.
This lab was more difficult because programming is like learning a new language. But I did learn the correct way to write commands eventually and this lab was a great stepping stone to learn more. Overall, this lab taught me valuable lessons about how to script.
This lab was pretty easy and built upon concepts that I already knew from earlier classes. This lab did teach me new ways to translate IP addresses to get network and broadcast addresses and any other information that I need. Overall, this lab increased my efficiency in translating IP addresses that will most likely be used in later classes.
Further information
After graduation I plan to become a penetration tester and am currently looking for an cybersecurity internship. This course overall was great and taught me many skills that I will be excited to use in the future.
