CompTIA Security+

The CompTIA Security+ certification validates foundational knowledge in cybersecurity concepts, risk management, and network security. While studying for this certification I learned how organizations protect systems, networks, and sensitive data from cyber threats.

Key topics covered include threat detection, vulnerability management, identity and access management, cryptography, and security architecture. This certification helped strengthen my understanding of how cybersecurity professionals identify risks and implement security controls to defend digital infrastructure.

CompTIA Network+

The CompTIA Network+ certification focuses on networking fundamentals and how modern computer networks operate. Through this certification I developed a strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP addressing, subnetting, routing concepts, and network troubleshooting.

This certification helped me understand how network infrastructure functions and how different devices communicate within enterprise environments. These networking concepts are essential for cybersecurity professionals because protecting systems requires a strong understanding of how networks are designed and maintained.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – In Progress

I am currently studying for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. The CCNA focuses on advanced networking concepts including switching, routing, VLAN configuration, and network automation.

While preparing for this certification I have been completing networking labs using Cisco Packet Tracer to practice configuring network devices and troubleshooting connectivity issues. These labs help simulate real-world enterprise network environments and strengthen my understanding of how network infrastructure is built and secured.

These certifications demonstrate my commitment to developing technical knowledge in networking and cybersecurity. They also reflect the practical skills I have gained through both certification preparation and hands-on lab experience throughout my degree program.
