My name is Jaylen Jenkins, and I am a sport management major with a strong passion for athletics, competition, and the business side of sports. Sports have always been a major part of my life, not only as a fan but also through direct involvement, which has helped shape my work ethic, discipline, and leadership skills. I am especially interested in learning how sports organizations operate behind the scenes, including areas such as team operations, media, event management, and athlete representation. In the future, I hope to build a professional career within the sports industry where I can combine my love for sports with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. This blog was created as a space to document my academic journey, professional development, and growing understanding of the sports industry. Through this platform, I plan to share reflections on coursework, fieldwork experiences, internships, and industry-related topics that interest me. My hope is that this blog becomes both a personal portfolio and a learning tool that tracks my growth over time while also showcasing my interests and career goals within sports management. As I continue to gain experience and knowledge, I want this blog to evolve into a professional resource that reflects who I am and where I am headed in my career.
