What I think about Cybersecurity and the Social Sciences is interesting is that it plays a lot bigger role than most people realize. Social Science is already a major part of everyone’s life, and it connects everything and society to you. Now delving into how it relates to Cybersecurity, some people try to gain access through socializing and connections, or even by having a conversation with you.

If someone attempts to gain unauthorized access to an account and is confident and charismatic enough, they can convince a customer service representative to grant them access. This is called a social engineering attack and is one of the most effective ways of hackers gaining access.

Finally, the most interesting part of Cybersecurity and the Social Scienes are the experiments. What’s interesting about them is the wide variety of experiments that can be conducted to get a variety of qualitative and quantitative data. From surveys to experiment there are always different pieces of data to be collected.
