Service Learning

 

  • While at my internship site, I was able to case manage clients. While doing case management, I followed up with clients by providing a wellness check. 
  • While working with the clients, I was able to practice effective listening skills and note taking. Furthermore, I developed a case management powerpoint on one of my clients throughout the internship. 
  • I was able to make decisions and solve problems. Many clients faced many hardships. I was able to alleviate some of the stress on the clients by helping them self-resolve. This allowed me to connect the clients to resources that would help them, such as counseling services. I was also able to obtain and process information. This is where I gathered vital records of clients and uploaded their information electronically. 
  • This experience will develop my interpersonal skills by actively communicating with others and showing empathizing with others in order to better help them.
