My field of interest within biology is genetics. So for my drawing, I drew an egg and a sperm, which are reproductive cells. Reproductive cells are important to genetics because they carry genetic information from one generation to another. In genetics, we look at our genes, and our genes give us our traits. Half your genes come from one parent, while the other half comes from the other. It is when an egg and sperm combine during fertilization that the offspring inherit their genes from their parents!
