Our first assignment was to install Kali Linux as our virtual machine operating system, which we then used to test a few basic commands in the terminal: echo, date, ls, and pwd (as listed in the document above). We then briefly described what each command does. This lab provided introductory practice, displayed what a terminal is used for, and understanding of what is expected after input. As for challenges, there weren’t any during installation or input.
