The most efficient choices with the budget given

I believe the best choice to boost our cybersecurity defenses with our budget would be to
both have baseline antiviruses on all of the companies’ computers, and to give a somewhat in-
depth security training to company employees. In short, I believe that we should allocate our
resources almost equally between antiviruses and training of employees as a baseline of both
chances are will get us farther than dumping all into either category.

Anti-virus systems

A standard antivirus should be a requirement as it can act as a small safety net against an
employee’s possible blunder while working. Though it may be expensive as it can cost upwards
of $140 with things like Microsoft’s windows security there are also cheaper ones that that cost
around $40 year, In the long run though it is more expensive, windows security would become
cheaper after 4 years as there is no reoccurring charge for Microsoft windows, on top of getting
windows security you also get an operating system out of the package along with many other
benefits that would chances are also be wanted for the companies work, for instance Microsoft
PowerPoint

Company training videos

Company training on cybersecurity and ways to be safe while working on computers
should also be of importance. It’s good to make sure employees have a baseline for internet
safety as no matter how good an antivirus is it can never account for everything, especially human error. On top of it also being of great importance it should be cheaper overall than buying
multiple antiviruses that have reoccurring billings, because things like videos can often be reused
for the training of multiple employees. Said training should also recur once a year at least or in
the event of a new threat emerging that employees need to be informed about.

In conclusion I believe that splitting the theoretical budget between both a single antivirus and a more cybersecurity focused training for employees would be of great benefit in stopping cyber threats.
