The CISO is also known as the Chief Information Security Officer and they are a senior executive. In a nutshell, they are responsible for an organization’s information security. In my position as a CISO, I would implement a few different protections to ensure the availability of my systems. The first and main protection I would implement is firewall and encryption. This will help prevent unauthorized access and the possibility of potential breaches by creating a strong security base, The next protection I would implement is compliance. It is critical to ensure the company is adhering to guidelines and being compliant within the organization legally. The next and final protection I would implement is making sure everyone in the organization is up to date on their trainings, specifically cybersecurity, by raising awareness. Educating employees on being knowledgeable and what to look out for is critical. That training alone could make a huge impact. I believe my protections would definitely ensure the availability of my systems in the organization.
