Dear Writing:
I am so grateful for you. In fact, you are my confidant, my voice, and my peace all in one. It is a gift to be able to write and I plan to keep using this gift wisely. Therefore, I want to thank you for forming my thoughts and understanding my deepest feelings about the world around me. Together we make an amazing team. You help to explain the intricate workings of my mind. You describe my feelings in ways that my voice cannot. Throughout my years in school, you have served as my closest ally. You helped me demonstrate my understanding of language and succeed in my courses. I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish and as we continue into the future, we will continue to thrive.
E-Portfolio Task 2
If I had to describe how I write, I would say… it is similar to painting a picture. Each word adds more clarity and color to my thoughts. When my writing is structured and planned, it is a picture painted with muted colors that fall perfectly within the lines. When my writing is abstract and not bound by structure it produces a painting with bold colors and unique lines that blend together with unexpected unison. My writing is also comparable to a dance with every word carefully chosen for the sake of rhythm and fluency. The dance often follows intricate steps that dictate the movement of my thoughts. It can also be a freestyle dance with neither rhyme nor reason all depending on the occasion. Nonetheless, I write with control, consideration, and consistency. My goal is for the reader to see my words as an art form that provokes thought and provides inspiration. Therefore, if I had to describe my writing, I would describe it as a work of art.
E-Portfolio Task 3
E-Portfolio Task 4
Dear Problems Paper:
I will never forget you because … I am not proud of you. I will never forget the sheer panic I felt the morning you were due. I apologize for being blunt, but I truly can do so much better. You had so much potential and I am sorry I did not give you the time and dedication that you needed to be great. You taught me a lesson I will never forget. Waiting until the last minute is never a good idea.
E-Portfolio Task 5
Dear 449W:
You taught me……………. the importance of self-reflection throughout the writing process as well as in my coursework. You also taught me a valuable lesson on how to showcase my academic writing with the help of technology.
Now, for me, writing………….. is therapeutic and comes almost as naturally as speech. It is also the way that I form my thoughts and views of a topic.
