OVERALL REFLECTION

Throughout this course, I learned how important Linux is in the cybersecurity field. Before taking this course, I had limited experience using the Linux command line. As the semester progressed, I became more comfortable using commands, navigating directories, editing files, managing users, and understanding permissions.

One of the most important skills I developed was learning how to work directly in the terminal. This helped me understand how cybersecurity professionals and system administrators manage systems efficiently. I also learned that small details, such as file permissions and user privileges, can have a major impact on system security.

My skills improved because the labs gave me hands-on practice instead of only reading about concepts. Some labs were challenging at first, especially when learning new commands or using tools like the VI editor. However, each challenge helped me become more confident with Linux.

This course contributes to my future career because Linux is widely used in servers, cybersecurity tools, cloud environments, and security operations. The knowledge I gained in this course will help me as I continue studying cybersecurity and preparing for professional roles in the field.
