Exploring Culture

Working on lectura homework and supersite homework has exposed me to the different Spanish cultures around the world. Being able to communicate with Native Spanish speakers from many different Spanish speaking countries are exciting and very educational. Spanish can be a little tough at times, remembering vocabulary that you don’t use regularly can be a little tricky. My talk abroad partner was very understanding to me not remembering vocabulary, and helped by using visuals and spoke at an understanding speed.

Interpersonal Communication

My experience with Talk Abroad was magnificent. I had a lovely partner and she was very cool and understanding with me not knowing what to say to questions she asked. When I didn’t understand her question, she showed me a picture of a cat and dog, letting me know that she was asking if I had any pets. We laughed so much while talking, and I would definitely chose her as a partner again. I was nervous at first, but the more questions that I realized I understood, the more confident I became with myself.
