Procurement Engineer(year-round)

June 2024 – present

During my time at Dominion Energy, I’m working as a procurement engineer performing procurement activities including evaluation, research, and analysis of procurement requirements of materials and services. I also worked with company data to create dashboards using Power BI to provide visual representations of what groups within the company needs to focus on.

This experience has taught me so much and helped me gain and better the necessary skills to fully understand what it takes to become a procurement engineer like communication, collaboration, and taking accountability and responsibility for my work. Toughest challenge of this experience was learning something I’ve never learned before which was engineering, but fast forward to now, I’ve learned so much about engineering because of my peers and not only that but It has allowed me to have a very diverse career now that I have engineering, cybersecurity, and computer science under my belt, this allows me to have more opportunities for different types of work.
