Cybersecurity Analyst was one of the first jobs that I ever heard about when starting my cybersecurity career. It is the premier entry level job that hinges on learning base level skills such as system administration tools and entry level certifications such as SEC+. The presentation goes into the wide variety of chose and range that is offered with this job description and it reveals a lot of things in terms of social behavior and what type of person the worker wants to become. The main take away for me is the fact that your experience obtaining this job can show your personal psychology as well as social behaviors.

The main social behavior shown is migration and the community that you are willing to be apart of. The video explains that the highest paid markets revolve around Boston, New York City, Dallas, D.C., and Atlanta. These are very large cities with large melting pots of people so a person that would choose these places has to be comfortable interacting with a large amount of people with extraverted personalities. This could also lead to introverted people being more persuaded by the money. A person who is less money motivated however wants a slower pace lifestyle can go to a lower paying city with a decent wage and still live rather comfortably in the Midwest. Since the job title is so varied, where one chooses to work can also reveal a lot about a person. A religious person could choose to work at a church whereas someone who is into fitness can work for a gym. Within that point what organizations are hiring or how much they are willing to pay reveals a lot about society. There are points where certain organizations are hiring more frequently based on consentient attacks on other similar organizations, a fields reluctance on investing in their cybersecurity infrastructure until recently, or even shady practices leading to high job turnover. Watching the trend of certain cities increasing the number of Cybersecurity jobs in an area can also indicate an area’s technological infrastructure spike which can reveal that a city is becoming more popular to live in.
