This reading was quite interesting to say the least but the key thing that stood out was if you have money you benefit. That basically bigger companies have the revenue to get this bug bounties and hire them to detect these breaches. When they do, they can create things in house to keep the company safe. Opposed to smaller companies who don’t usually have the same type of breaches and must hire out sourced help for what a bug bounty may do. I always say everyday for most things I do you must pay to play in this world we live in. Because in reading they found that bug bounties are more expensive than just hiring let’s say 2 in house people in the UK. Bug bounties have a positive affect on big or small companies, but it just depends on the motive of the individual to get them to work. Some bug bounties are in it to see their skill, and some are in it for there skill but want to be well compensated for it. But hey can you blame them?
