Undergraduate Goals (Spring 2027)

Focusing on Cloud Networking, Artificial Intelligence (AI), & Machine Learning (ML).

Graduate Goals (2027)

Pursue part/full-time employment and ODU’s MS in Cybersecurity with a Concentration in AI.

Spring 2026 Course Load (*subject to change):

  1. MATH 211: PreCalculus I (prerequisite for AI/ML graduate-level courses at ODU; taken at VCCS)
  2. CYSE 301: Cybersecurity Techniques & Operations
  3. CS 462: Cybersecurity Fundamentals
  4. CompTIA Linux+, AZ-900 and/or CySA+ (if time permits)

Summer 2026 Course Load (*subject to change):

  1. MATH 212: Calculus I (prerequisite for AI/ML graduate-level courses at ODU; taken at VCCS)
  2. Two of the following: IDS 300W: Interdisciplinary Theory and Concepts; CYSE 464: Networked Systems; CYSE 368: Cybersecurity Internship*
  3. AI-900 and PenTest+ (if time permits)

Fall 2026 Course Load (ODU changes to 8-week acceleration sessions):

First Session

  1. MATH 316: Calculus II (prerequisite for AI/ML graduate-level courses at ODU; taken at VCCS)
  2. One of the remaining left no taken during the summer: IDS 300W: Interdisciplinary Theory and Concepts; CYSE 464: Networked Systems; CYSE 368: Cybersecurity Internship*

Second Session

  1. CYSE 418: Enterprise Information Assurance
  2. CYSE 425: Cyber Strategy and Policy
  3. SC-900 (if time permits)

Spring 2027 Course Load (ODU changes to 8-week acceleration sessions):

  1. MATH 316: Linear Algebra (prerequisite for AI/ML graduate-level courses at ODU; taken at VCCS)
  2. One or both of the following: (1) CYSE 420: Applied ML in Cybersecurity, or (2) CYSE 450, Ethical Penetration Testing
  3. CYSE 493: IDS Electronic Portfolio Project
  4. SecAI+ (if time permits)
