Every business is made up of the same basic parts. They all consist of accounting and financing, Sales, Marketing, and Customer services. They also consist of an IT department, Supply department, Operations, Cybersecurity, and a Legal department that all flow together. Every department works together to create a flow. They go one and one together as the accounting and finance manages the money and financial aspects. The marketing helps bring in money by marketing out the company to the public. As for supply makes sure that product is in stock and being outputted to others. The operation chain makes sure everything is operating smoothly and soundly. Cybersecurity deals with all the cyber threats and ensures network security. As Legal deals with all legal aspects protecting and defending the company. IT fits in the part of all networking operations in a business aiding toward all the network flows. They work closely with the cybersecurity part and help run the technology side of the company. The roles for IT makes sure that software for the company is running smoothly and properly. They have to make sure everything is up to date and runs smoothly and has reliability. To play into the cybersecurity side they ensure that the company’s data is protected and take care of any possible threats to the company. IT should be organized in branches of what each part does. You have your IT maintenance that helps trouble shoot problems with technology within the business and help the company. Then their is a operation of keeping things up to date and ensuring the everything is working perfectly. Then finally the cybersecurity point is just organizing the network and providing security for the company and watch out for data breaches.
- THE CIA TRIAD
The CIA Triad is a system used within cyber security consisting of three key parts.
These parts being confidentiality, integrity, and availability which all make up this system.
What is confidentiality? Well this is the privacy component of the triad as it is apart of protecting
the data itself. It offers levels of security based on data importance levels Aswell (Chai Pg1).
2FA-authenitification and biometric verification are two methods used in confidentiality to
safeguard and protect data. Two factor is a type of authentication that is almost a double guard
for access as you must authenticate your login versus verification at this point you are already
typed in you password but now you must authorized its use by applying a secondary form as
authentication like a code or a app approval. Versus Biometric verification which is an direct
access way into accounts biometric aspects are in place things such as a fingerprint or face scan
can get you in as only you can use it. Along with that things like security tokens, and keys can
also be used in this form. The integrity part of triad is to ensure that all the data stays consistent and accurate (Chai Pg 1). This also is part of making sure the location of the data is secure and stays where it is supposed to be keeping it secure. It is also apart of detection of data change within issue caused
by EMPs or any human type of interaction. They must ensure “Backups or redundancies must be
available to restore the affected data to its correct state”,(Chai Pg4). So the integrity part is
basically just the part of reassurance within the servers keeping up with reliability within them.
Availability is insured by keeping up with the servers themselves constantly making sure
things are up to date so the functionality will stay up to date. Also it is apart of adding to the
server by producing upgrades to the server itself. This means adding new components to it to
defend from new threats and issues while also creating it to be more efficient. So the availability
of the server is important at it consist of these keys parts.
- The Ethics of Curiosity
I believe that it can truly have a major benefit as it would deeply change the way on how are DNA make up can be viewed and analyzed even making room for advancements in earlier detection for certain issues DNA related. This being said it is tricky to really see if it is worth the risk of being fully digital. As people can already hack into things that are supposed to be safe it seems relatively sketchy. But the benefits it can bring are also amazing as it would make sharing your make up easier for medical officials so they can exactly look at how your DNA make up is. This can help target certain parts of this DNA and possibly make items like CRISPR even more efficient and useful in the medical world. Though if the DNA is compromised that is a whole other level of trouble for a person and if your found to have perfection of DNA you suspect for someone wanting your make up and cloning you. This can sound crazy but the world we live into today this is a very possible outcome and can easily probably happen. So if it was to truly come down to a breach of data and your DNA being put out their thats not something you can change. As you cant just change your whole DNA make up so people would always have access to it which is not ideal. Overall I think it could be worth it in the future but their needs to be major security development behind the process .
