NICE Framework

I still have a couple years left to narrow my focus from what is now a broad overview of the field. That being said, as of this time, I am mostly interested in digital forensics and incident response. This could very well change, but so far, these seem like the two most interesting specialties to pursue. It seems like a good mix of different, unique situations each requiring a different approach that would keep the job fresh and rewarding.

As far as the least appealing goes, at this time I think it would be system administration. It goes without being said that this is a field that is of utmost importance and is a cornerstone of any well-secured system. My reluctance to pursue a career with a focus in this field might be due to the fact that it appears to be maybe monotonous in nature. I am saying that is absolute zero knowledge of the field and could very well be wrong.
