Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs relates to my physiological needs on how if I am in bed and the temperature of the room needs adjusting, there is an application on my phone that allows me to adjust the temperature. My smart watch monitors my eating habits, it’s a sleep coach, and alerts me to be more active and even suggests activities. I have an alarm system with an application on my phone to actively monitor my home in real time. Having an iPad, I can participate in the family party line staying close to the family who are far.

The thought of returning was intimidating, especially after being out of school for seventeen years. But upon attending the orientations that ODU Global provided, I knew it was possible. I attended office hours for the first time via zoom. My attendance at office hours provided me with the resources to learn about Cyberseek.org; a technology website that maps out your training, provides you with what type of certifications you should have, and what careers and locations are available. With the ALEKS prep learning module, ODU global, along with the professors reinforcing what some have already stated. I may not have heard or believed which is I can get my BS, MS or PhD in whatever degree I want, if I set my mind to it and use the tools and resources provided.
