One of the biggest benefits organizations could gain from this framework is having a structured, organized approach to managing cybersecurity risks within their companies. The framework helps organizations identify assets, protect systems, detect threats, respond to incidents, and recover from attacks. If companies follow these core functions, they can improve their overall security posture and consistently adapt to future threats.
In my future workplace, I think I would use the NIST Cybersecurity Framework as a guide for assessing security risks and to help me identify which areas need improvement. Also, I think it would help with incident response, security policies, and employee training, all of which align with my company’s best practices. Overall, this framework is highly valuable and could help many organizations become more resilient against many cyberattacks.
