Fonts

My webpage is set to the style of Coraline. Unfortunately I’m not able to change the font on my blogs. If I could then I would pick a more interesting font, though I do feel like the traditional font goes with my page currently. I enjoy playing around with fonts on Google.

I have noticed that many of the themes do not allow for font selection anymore. What made you choose this theme and style? I love how each portfolio has a slightly different flavor.

Great question! I made this last fall and don’t know exactly why I picked this theme. I feel like there were limited choices when it came to picking the template we were supposed to use. I need to revisit that! Were you able to change the font on your theme?

Hi Amy. Tell us more about the specific fonts you might want to choose and why.

I would like to try some fonts that stand out more. I think fonts can really speak to readers and some are more attractive to our eyes. I feel like the font on my blog is kind of boring. I’m not currently a Word Press fan, as I have found in difficult to manipulate. I’m hoping to learn to love it more this semester.

I like to play around with fonts as well, but I tend to use the same fonts most of the time because it’s easier for my students. If I’m doing something outside of school, I tend to be a little flashier with my fonts. For school, I use a good balance between serif and sans serif fonts depending on what I’m creating.

I have grown to love Happy Monkey in Google and use it most of the time for school things! I agree that using the same fonts for students is a good idea! Some of them get a little crazy. I’m hoping to gain a lot of Word Press knowledge this summer and perhaps learn how to get the fonts fixed up.
