Hi everyone! My name is Sierra Blake. I am currently in my 7th year of teaching kindergarten. Prior to teaching kindergarten, I taught in various special education settings, and have had experience in grades K-5. I absolutely love teaching kindergarten, but I feel I need another option for the future because I do not want to get to a point where I no longer love what I’m doing. As the demands continue to increase for teachers, I feel that becoming a school librarian would combine my passion for teaching and reading to students, without having some of the extra stress that is put on teachers. I look forward to setting up a makerspace in the library, and teaching lessons on research with my future students. 

I am working towards my Master’s in Library Science in Old Dominion University’s School Librarian Program. As part of the requirement, I am creating this e-Portfolio that will compile everything I have learned, and provide examples of the work I have completed throughout the program.
