illuminated wire lab
On the day of our lab, students use their El Wire kits to modify a piece of clothing of their choosing. They went through the semiotic possibilities of the texts on their clothing and then proceeded to shape and staple their wire. Although special attention was paid to the role of illumination in political life, the group largely decided on the less controversial applications of El Wire. Even so, we think Robert Boyle would be proud.
