SPAN 101

Reflection Overall:

While taking this Spanish class I have grown in my Spanish a lot. I have learned many new words and things about the Spanish culture. There were many things I have struggled with. For example, I still cannot roll my “r’s” when speaking Spanish. Although I still continuously try over and over; I have not mastered it yet. Some of my strengths are that I can fully introduce myself in Spanish and say who I am, where I am from, and talk about what I like and don’t like.

Exploring Culture

Thanks to my Professor, Alvaro, I have learned many things about the culture of Spain and how they speak over there compared to how Spanish Americans speak. She has greatly helped me improve my Spanish and changed the misconceptions I had about Spanish and the culture as a whole. It seems a very proper language.

Interpretive Reading

All these assignments have brought lots of growth in my speaking, writing, and listening. From having to write letters in Spanish. To having to listen and comprehend words in order to be able to try and spell them out. Having to learn new words in order to properly communicate to my partner and my professor during this class has been a huge learning factor as well.
