Jennifer Quail is a RDH with an Associates of science in Dental Hygiene. She works at Aspen Dental in Gloucester, Virginia. Jennifer worked as a dental assistant for a dentist named Dr. Mccoy and while he took her under his wing she fell in love with dentistry. Jen went to dental school in Maryland where she earned her degree to become a licensed registered dental hygienist.
She has worked as a Dental Hygienist for twenty-two years and believes that the most surprising aspect of the job is how much it affects you physically. Some basic roles and responsibilities of being a dental hygienist besides cleaning teeth are making sure you treat your patients ethically and educating them on how to achieve good oral and bodily health. While learning how to handle anxious and nervous patients is the most challenging aspect of the job, gaining trust in fearful patients is the most rewarding. The main take away from this interview is that education and patience is key. This experience was truly rewarding and knowing Jen personally is a blessing.
