BLUF: Today’s talk was very interesting. Hearing about the different things Mr. O’Donovan spoke
about, I took a few notes and wanted to talk about what gave me interest in paying attention.

Red Sea
Capt. Brett was talking about the Red Sea being more active than ever before. I wrote this down
because I’ve never heard anyone talk about the Red Sea. I went and did a little bit more research
on this topic and it’s true, it is more active because of the geopolitical tensions and strategic
shifts.

Expansion
Expanding the enterprise network system was also mentioned. This caught my attention because
I wondered what it was, so I went to research some and came to the conclusion that this would
be a good idea. Mr. O’Donovan mentioned that they would have to advance the firewalls and
incorporate the Zero Trust Network to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.

Teleport
Another thing that I took away from this talk was the teleport system that Capt. Brett mentioned.
He talked about how it is shared between all the branches of the military and how it works. He
explained how it provides deployed Warfighters with a seamless worldwide multi-band Satellite
Communication to reach back to the capabilities of the Defense Information System Network.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Capt. Brett O’Donovan spoke on a lot of different topics. I found every last one
interesting so choosing three was very complicated, but the three topics that I did choose I really
enjoyed learning about them and taking a deeper look into them.
