I’m Nathan Hallberg, a Cybersecurity major at Old Dominion University with an interest in system security, hands-on learning, and high level cybersecurity (Military/government). My goal is to build a career in cybersecurity through continuous learning and real-world experience.

I am a sophomore at Old Dominion University, majoring in Cybersecurity with an expected graduation in 2028. Throughout my schooling so far I have focused on developing a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, becoming familiar with cybersecurity basics, and learning programming languages. I have taken CYSE201, and are currently enrolled in CYSE270 (Linux), and CYSE200.

Outside of academics, I’m actively involved in campus life through the ODU Fishing Club, Sigma Pi fraternity, and the Cyberlink Club, where I continue to grow my network and apply cybersecurity concepts in these different settings. I have a passion for the outdoors and enjoy traveling with my family in my free time. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a Master’s in Cybersecurity to deepen my expertise and broaden my career opportunities.
