I think the media influences the wide understanding of cybersecurity to a great extent. After watching the video, I gained some insight on hacking mechanisms used realistically, as well as not realistic. One way media can influence someone about cybersecurity is making an individual become more interested in hacking or the cybersecurity field based on their likability of the movie. In the video, the women stated that a scene from a movie was something that she was influenced by in here upbringing. Another way media can be influenced is by the more realistic scenes shown in the video. Beginner hackers may develop some influence from these scenes because of how realistic they may be, and use it to build there knowledge on the subject. All in all, the media can play a major role in the understanding of cybersecurity because of the influence it brings on the audience.
