Explain how the principles of science relate to cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity relates to the principles of science because it has an association with all seven principles. To start off, cyber security is an applied science. Applied science is the gathering of theories, knowledge, methods, and techniques, that is used to protect the confidentiality of our data, uphold the integrity of our data, and to allow availability of our data to only authorized users. This means that everything we have learned in cybersecurity has been through trial and error, and many hours of research and practice. This relates to science because everything in science is trial and error until you find the correct solution.

Cybersecurity is also linked to social science. Cybersecurity uses social science to help identify, counter and prevent cybercrimes from happening. Social science also opens the door to speculate why the attacker did what they did.
