About Me

Trip to Nashville, Tennessee.

Greetings! My name is Noah Austin and I am a Historian and Educator.

I was born April 19, 2001 in Tampa, Florida.

I have lived in Washington, D.C.; Yuma, Arizona; Okinawa, Japan; and Fredericksburg, Virginia. All of this because my father was in the Marine Corps.

I attended 3 different high schools including Kadena High School, Mt. Vernon High School, and finally graduated at Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, VA.

I now attend Old Dominion University where I plan to receive my Bachelors in History with a Concentration in Secondary Education.

I am working to become a History teacher for High School. I want to be able to teach these kids how to use history as way to learn more about themselves. History allows people to use the past to understand why the present is the way it is, and to influence their futures. I grew up overseas in Okinawa, Japan. I was not born there but I spent eight years, from elementary to high school, there and experienced a very different life than most students in the United States. I would like to bring this unique perspective to as many students as possible to help prepare them for life in this world. Spanish would allow me to do this by reaching more students by breaking through the language barrier. I have also recently decided to join the U.S. Air Force and plan on teaching for DoDEA schools after I retire.
