Hello! My name is Naana Zakari. I am a new Cybercrime major, and I have a passion for technology, fitness, and growing as an individual. I grew up in Stafford, Virginia, 40 miles from Washington D.C. Here is where my strong love for being active and staying healthy developed.
Throughout my life, I’ve been deeply involved in sports and fitness, like soccer and wrestling, which taught me discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. It made me feel like I was good at something while also pushing myself to be healthier along the way. I also grew up liking expressing myself through my looks. Styling my wigs, outfits, and makeup helps me to show who I am through my appearance. Staying fit and prioritizing self care remains a big part of who I am today.
My interest in technology drives my academic journey. I used to be a criminal justice major due to my very strong interest in true crime. Cybercrime is a field where I can combine my love for crime and technology with a desire to make the digital world safer. I grew up loving being online, playing computer games, and more. I’m excited to explore the intersection of technology and justice, applying my skills to real-world challenges.
