End-of-Term Reflection
There were many things throughout the semester that I was able to learn that I will take forward and use in my life. This class was able to provide more in-depth detail about microbiology which allowed me to make real-life connections. For example, understanding the building blocks of life and their respective pathways and the changes undergone in the body during this process. One thing that was very interesting was the scientific literacy essay assignment. My major is Marine Biology so the assignment was perfect for my area of study. During my research, I was able to learn and see how the world’s aquatic environments are being affected. This was very motivational and it opened my eyes to different problems that need solving. Face masks are only one of the many pollutants that affect our aquatic environments.
