Artifact 5
The item to archive for Module 6 is last on the list of favorites. My art is horrendous, but I found it valuable to write about the experience which changed my life/culture forever. It was an interesting exercise in which I had to think critically about how that experience changed me. In some ways, it helped me work through some unresolved feelings over the move.
This is the image I included for that assignment. It is meant to depict how much my life changed when I moved from VA to PA.
Artifact 4
The item to archive for Module 12 is #4 on the list for me. My own body language is not something I really paid much attention to before. I knew my posture was bad before and that I had a tendency to try to hide myself, but I never thought about how that is perceived by others. The video for the assignment was really interesting for me, as well.
This is the image I included as an example of how my posture and body language usually is.
Artifact 3
The item to archive for Module 8 falls in spot number 3 for me. It was difficult to look at myself in the way I needed to for this assignment. Reflecting back on it, I realize it is important to continuously keep check of yourself in order to continue to grow. The activity really made me see qualities of my personality that I wasn’t entirely proud of.
This is the word bubble I included for that assignment.
Artifact 2
Module 3 item to archive about the culture I grew up in was my next favorite assignment. I wrote about the Claddagh ring that has been passed down to me and how that ties into my heritage and culture. I enjoyed the opportunity to write about this mostly because it was so hard to really find a representation of the culture I grew up in. The way I have always looked at my own history is that I don’t have a particular culture, but this course really helped me work through that.
This is the image of my ring that I included for this assignment.
Artifact 1
Module 5 item to archive, about comparing my parent’s values to my own was probably my favorite one. I enjoyed the opportunity to evaluate how much I have grown from the way my parent’s raised me. I also loved the opportunity to write about my grandmother, who has been the most influential person in my life.
This is a picture of her and I from her 50th birthday party. Really summarizes how close we have always been.
