Critical Thinking
From my time in the military in addition to my college education, I have been able to refine and expand my critical thinking skills. Many of the courses required for my degree have involved a lot of technical and demanding assignments. My educational success can be attributed to many things, however my ability to think critically and “outside the box” has greatly aided me in completing challenging technical assignments.
Problem Solving
With my sharpened critical thinking skills, I have also developed fantastic problem solving skills. In the military, I held subordinate and leadership positions, aiding to my ability to identify and solve issues with any coworker or system that may arise. By working on both sides of that spectrum, I was able to develop new methods of communication and understanding that helped with problem solving.
Teamwork
As a member of the military, I learned a lot about working together within a team. Most day to day work involved me working with my direct team and even with other teams too. As a result of having to adapt to various leadership and coworkers, I have gained a specific type of empathy that allows me to mesh well will any eager type of group.
