The course objectives outlined in the syllabus are described in such ways to set us all up for success in the future. Taking the time to read about how social psychology effects us on an everyday basis will help us understand why we act the way we do around certain situations. The understanding behind attitudes subjected by behavior can be used both inside a setting and out, pretty much anywhere you go. The outlined objectives for this course is set so that we can use them anywhere we go. Whether it’s between family settings, work, or out and about in public. Things happen that we tend to question ourselves such as, “how can someone act like that in public” or “Im glad I’m not that way”. Not every person thinks the same as the next nor may they have the same intentions as you may have. My expectations for this course is to be able to use what I’ve learned and incorporate it into real world situations, versus just reading a scenario in the book. I’m hoping to gain all the knowledge to put forth into my career. I plan to go into forensic psychiatry further down the years. Being that ill be in forensics and minoring in criminal justice, I’m planing to have a background in criminal profiling at some point in my career. throughout this semester I plan to become better at my time management and staying focused. I’m determined more than I have been since my freshman year, allowing little this to get in my way of my success and I promised myself I wouldn’t allow such to happen ever again. plan to work ahead and get all my assignments finished with this course at the beginning of the week versus waiting last minute or putting it off until the next day. I am a full time student and work like a full time employee. reality smacks you in the face when you have adult life to take care of as well as school. getting all my work done before the weekend is the goal and will become a major set up for sky success in this course.
