The archived artifact for Module 13, I discussed happiness and its relation to physical health. Overtime, the things that make me happy changes. When I was younger, what made me happy was being able to watch cartoons after finishing my homework and playing outside. Now, I am happy knowing that I am alive and healthy and knowing that I have people that genuinely care about me. I believe that if you are happy you will have better physical health and that physical health leads to your happiness. When I am happy, I choose healthy habits such as working out and getting enough sleep. When I am working out, I push myself to accomplish a certain goal. When that goal is reached, my levels of confidence and happiness increases.

I found that colors I categorized as traditional female colors associated with feelings of happiness. I associated envy with the color green. Green is often symbolized as wealthy, and that can make a person jealous of someones success.

The archived artifact for Module 10 discussed time perspective and orientation in differing cultures. I found many differences in my results. I would wait the longest for the people such as my parent, boyfriend and best friend because they are the most important to me. I would wait the shortest time for my colleague because they are not that valuable to me. I am not a very patient person; therefore, I can not imagine myself waiting more than 30 minutes for a person. I find it rude to not notify the person you are meeting with and telling them that you’re going to be late.

The archived artifact for Module 9 discussed gender stereotypes in the workplace. The assignment involved determining what gender you associate most with specific occupations compared to someone with a different cultural background. I asked my dad being that he is a traditional male. Our responses were similar minus a couple of occupations. We both based our responses on our experiences. For doctor, chef, and pilot we thought of male because most of encounters have been of the male gender.
We often unconsciously associate one gender with certain job fields. Also, depending on your experience and/or gender, there may be biases with gender association.

The archived artifact for Module 5 discussed how parenting can influence a child’s views. I found that there were not many differences between the views I have compared to my dad’s. I relate these differences between the closeness in age. My dad had me when he was only 17 years old. We both believe that mistakes are very important for succeeding in the future and to always be willing to learn, even if you may not find it useful. We also agree to being open-minded to new things and treating everyone with respect regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation. The values that me and father hold onto is due to the constant changes in society.

My father and I.
